Post Title: Health & Safety Officer
Reporting To: Principal/Executive
Salary: Up to £37,918 per annum (*pay award pending)
Hours: Full time
Holidays: 37 days + bank holidays (FTE)
The Specific Nature of the Role
Hartlepool College of Further Education seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Health & Safety Officer. The successful candidate will hold a NEBOSH or other relevant higher level health and safety qualification and will have the relevant skills and experience to effectively support the Management of college-wide health and safety. The post-holder will ensure the college's health & safety policy and 5S operations are enacted, and that the college moves towards its aim of having a world class approach to health & safety.

The post-holder will work closely with college managers to ensure the key operations relating to health & safety are enacted, namely: staff induction, initial training, training updates as well as the implementation of local health and safety improvement plans. Furthermore, the post-holder will ensure the college's policies and risk assessments are current and up to date, also ensuring timely, accurate and complete information related to health and safety is provided to the Head of Facilities for sharing with College Leadership Committee and Governors.
