Senior Collections Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Collections Project Manager to join our Library at the House of Lords. This is a position where you will be responsible for planning and delivery of a review of the legacy collection held by the Library.
The review deliverables will include recommendations for retention in our main Library location or relocation offsite, complete and accurate catalogue records for reviewed collections, management information, including progress reports and statistics, and explanatory communications for members and relevant member committees. Ad-hoc and reactive collections project work arising from works engagement is also expected. As a senior project manager, you will also act in a leadership capacity, using your specialist project management knowledge and expertise when taking decisions and advising others.
This is an opportunity to work on a hybrid basis where you will be able to work up to 2 days from home and other days onsite. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Parliamentary Historic collections.
You'll be accountable for:
• Project and delivery management for the Library's Legacy Collection Review.
• Advise the Head of Information Management and Director of Library Services in formulating a legacy collection strategy.
• Develop a Collection Asset Risk Register and manage related risk mitigation.
• Develop a Collection Asset 'Catalogue' (in document format) and related stakeholder communications products, which could include procurement, contract or relationship management responsibilities.
• Work with Facilities and other teams and stakeholders, as required, to coordinate planned works and maintenance impacting the Library's collection (works engagement).
Please note that manual handling, use of ladders, trolleys and other Library equipment will occasionally be required. There is likely to be some working at height required at times.
