This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities
1. Core Responsibilities

• Implements effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
• Ensures relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly and ensures alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.
• Implements programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.
• Secures full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
• Manages planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
• Ensures Buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines.
• Monitors the procurement processes and activities, and resolves issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery.
• Monitors and reports internal and supplier performance (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)), quality issues, and development actions.
• Supports conformance to ABB procurement metrics.
• Leverages category teams locally, regionally, and globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection.
• Defines and establishes local standard agreements with all major local suppliers.
• Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.

• Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.

• Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope.
• Accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance.

3. Collaboration / Leadership

• Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree or above
• More than 10 years of procurement/sourcing work experience, with a deep understanding of the industrial control industry
• Have a good understanding of frequency converters/servos/PLC products
• Have good local supplier resources in the industrial control industry, as well as the development capabilities of local suppliers
• Have rich experience in team management
• Fluent in English
