Responsible for completing accounting activities related to the general ledger. Responsibilities include completing and processing large numbers of journal entries, performing account reconciliations and maintaining fixed assets. Accountants are responsible for following Standard Accounting Policies & Procedures according to USGAAP and ensuring that Shared Services Customers are responded to in an accurate manner.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts per reconciliation in Project Accounting.
- Work towards resolution of open items partnering with Business Units and other departments. Perform and collaborate in the accounting closing process carrying out specific tasks on a timely manner.
- Prepare in the revenue recognition process.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals.
- Ensure targets and expected results are met according to the SLA guidelines.
- Identify potential areas for process improvements and highlight to Supervisors and Continuous Improvement Team towards standardization and optimization of processes.
- Support internal and external audit processes collaborating with the supervision of the area to meet results and address explanations.
- Participate in the reporting process of financial statements in a monthly basis.
- Develop analysis and information as requested by the Business Units.

For this role, you will need:
- Associates or BSBA degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration
- Good communication both verbal and written, English & Portuguese preferred.
- More than two years of experience in general accounting or Big 4 environment (audit, consulting, accounting, etc.)
- Knowledge, insight and experience in (financial) administrative (accounting) processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Advanced English skills
Preferred qualifications that set you a part:
- Oracle / SAP or other ERP experience.
- Hyperion or other reporting system.
- Experience in Shared Services environment.
- Shared Services environments experience.
