Job Description:
Mission
- Lead the Naval Engineering activities, preserving specialistic knowledge, in accordance with Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards. Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in/out information flow
- Maintain and develop technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures and tools as required for proposals and project execution
- Ensure the capitalisation of Project experience in order to improve and harmonize work methodologies
Tasks
Planning, co-ordination and control of Naval Architect technical activities:
- Develop and maintain links with other centers where naval activity is performed
- Maintain planning and workloads prediction updated
- Check of naval de liverables (procedures, notes, technical reports)
- Interface with other engineering specialists
- Maintain and develop design capability (stability, hydrostatic hydrodynamics, hull, mooring, installation engineering, DP)
- Issue or check technical part of requisitions, bid analysis and PO
- Develop feedback dossiers from projects
- Manage the development of naval knowledge to maintain and develop the excellence in naval engineering
- Select and update the state of art numerical tool requested for the naval department engineering activities
- Implement and control any preventive/corrective actions arising from audits or certification requirements
- Maintain and develop the process of Lesson Learning
- Overview the dept. discipline activities and provide technical support to the dept. PS whenever necessary
- Identify project and contract hot spots and criticalities
- Take care of technical competence growth of department resources regarding Hydrostatic, Stability, Hydrodynamic, Mooring analysis, Dynamic Positioning System
