The Role

Location: Darmstadt

Contract: Fixed Term (6-9 months)

This role oversees the full office relocation project for our client, ensuring that every stage-from initial planning and site selection to move execution and final handover-is delivered smoothly and efficiently. It requires strategic oversight, clear communication, and strong leadership to align internal teams, vendors, and service providers toward successful project completion.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the office relocation project, including identifying new office options in Darmstadt and coordinating fit-out and readiness activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, covering timelines, resources, dependencies, budgets, and risk management.
  • Manage the transition to the new office, overseeing logistics, vendor coordination, and workspace setup to minimize disruption.
  • Oversee the sale, decommissioning, and closure of the existing office, ensuring compliance, clearance, and contract terminations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Facilities) to align all operational and technical requirements.
  • Develop and deliver employee communication plans to ensure staff are informed, supported, and engaged throughout the transition.
  • Ensure governance through accurate documentation, risk mitigation strategies, and adherence to safety, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Report regularly to leadership on status, progress, and key milestones to ensure accountability and transparency

You bring
  • Proven contract management experience in Germany.
  • Demonstrated vendor management experience in Germany.
  • Fluent German language skills (spoken and written).
  • Track record of managing office relocation or similar large-scale projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including comprehensive planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance, Facilities, Legal) and external service providers.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of German legal, health, safety, and regulatory requirements related to facilities management.
