Salary up to £48,000 + up to 10% bonus and other excellent benefits

Permanent, full-time position

As part of the SP Energy Networks (SPEN) Procurement Team and reporting to the Regulatory Stakeholder Category Manager, the role holder will provide support for reporting, process and data support for the SP Energy Networks Procurement team, whilst also providing a link between the team and the Procurement Process team for policy and procedures.

Role holder will require expertise in reporting and data management and a strong understanding of procurement activities, including, ideally, regulated procurement. They will be required to collaborate across the SPEN Procurement category areas, agreeing and delivering reporting, market intelligence and support needs, while providing routine reports and slides for established and ad hoc meetings.

What you'll be doing

Reporting, analysis, process updates
  • Embed a reporting (data/slides etc) regime to support regular meetings including internal SPEN Procurement monthly overview, monthly SPEN Executive meeting and SP Procurement Department quarterly meetings.
  • Work with SPEN Category managers on their reporting needs and frequency and embed a process to support, including ESG improvement plans and their progress.
  • Develop Credit risk reporting at the supplier level, the contract level and the license level, and reporting on changes to the risk picture.
  • Support the roll out of risk management reporting within the SPEN Procurement team, linked to the wider SP Procurement area and directly into the SPEN business.
  • Support adhoc reporting requirements for areas such as Iberdrola Networks Procurement meetings /visits, Supplier meetings and other emergent requirements.
  • Own the embedding of Procurement process team updates within the SPEN Category teams via reviewing the updates, understanding their implication and application and engaging with the categories through local meetings and walking through the updates.
  • Provide support where needed to engage with Suppliers to update their GOSupply/Achilles data.
  • Support onboarding of new staff where required

Committees & Stakeholders
  • Work in collaboration with all the SPEN Category Managers and the SP Procurement process team.
  • Support the SPEN Head of Procurement in preparation of reporting packs for management meetings

Supplier Engagement
  • Provide support where needed to engage with Suppliers to update their GOSupply/Achilles data.
  • Collaborate for supporting strategic supplier engagement including
    • Preparation of supplier insight and analysis
    • Market segment insight and analysis

  • Effective computer system skills, with well-developed skills in the use of data gathering, manipulation and presentation within MS Excel and Powerpoint
  • Capability of working under pressure of complying with Group Purchasing objectives whilst not delaying or failing to match the Business requirements.
  • Self-performance management and delivery focus with the ability to balance conflicting requirements of quality cost and time, make decisions in tight timescales, flexibility to react to changing needs, track record of delivery within agreed timescales.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Minimum Criteria
  • Business Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Possesses a working understanding of Procurement
  • Effective computer system skills, with well-developed skills in the use of data gathering, manipulation and presentation within MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with stakeholders, presenting findings, and documenting requirements
  • Highly numerate and strong problem solver
