The Operational Technology (OT) AV/ Patching Specialist works within our global OT Security Operations Security service.

This team secures bp's process control networks and operational technology (OT) systems. We work with business teams to protect systems, critical to frontline operations. We design and enforce security controls, collaborating with site teams to ensure smooth operation of those controls

Let me tell you about the role

The Operational Technology (OT) AV/ Patching Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and administering Anti-malware solutions and technologies and administering patch deployment to secure BP's OT environments. Operating within a collaboration of teams, the Specialist will follow operational processes and procedures to monitor and safely implement changes in the environment and support incident response.

What you will deliver

The post holder will operate the technologies for the OT Security Service

• Endpoint Protection - Anti-Malware/EDR/Application Control/DLP
• OS Patch management systems, within an OT environment.
• Vulnerability and asset inventory management tools
• Management of secure file transfer tooling

What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)

• Working with and managing endpoint Anti-Malware software and associated tools (Application Control, DLP). Trellix is preferred.
• Experience in OS Patching using Microsoft WSUS.
• Coding/scripting skills are desired
• Be a self-starter that can multi-task and prioritse activities.
• Adept at working within a collaborative and open environment, sharing knowledge, ideas and developing team members.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and ability to learn and understand new technologies
• Prior experience working within an Industrial Control System/Operational Technology environment is advantageous.
• Prior experience in firewall management and/or Layer 2 and 3 networking.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
