- To be fully responsible for on-stream NDT inspections to provide assurance of integrity of on-shore/offshore piping, static equipment and Tanks.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that all the inspections are carried out as per the international codes and standards.
- Make sure that NDT Inspections evaluations and acceptance criteria are as per applicable codes.
- Coordinate with Field Inspection Engineers & QA/QC Engineers for all technical issues related to inspection findings.
- Provide effective NDT inspections and supervisory services to inspection contractors to the field and report to Integrity Superintendent.
- Prepare detailed NDT reports.
- Practical experience in performing Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Testing.
- Evaluate test inspection results in accordance with the acceptance criteria as per the applicable codes and standards such as ASME SEC. VII, ASME B 31.3, Sec. V, API 1104 and the AWS D1.1
- Perform Radiographic Examination, Ultrasonic Test, the Magnetic Particle Test and the Liquid Penetrant Test in accordance with the specified procedure and applicable codes and standards.
- Perform Ultrasonic scanning (shear wave method) on welds of pressure vessels and piping to detect presence of cracks.
Education
- Qualification Requirements:
- Primary Professional Education. Higher Professional Education is a privilege.
- 3-5 years of experience in the field of Non Destructive Testing of Offshore and Onshore operating plants.
- NDT technician should be certified in ASNT SN-TC-1A Level II in UT, DPT, VT and MPT.
- Good English language skills both written and spoken.
- Good computer skills with MS Office programs.
- Additional knowledge about Time of flight diffraction (TOFD), Phased array UT (PAUT) and thermograph will be preferred .
- Awareness of various international codes, standards and specifications for manufacturing, inspection, testing and to execute projects.
