JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet order requirements and delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to align materials, capacity, and labor availability.
  • Monitor scheduling performance and provide accurate, up-to-date information to leadership and Project Managers.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy, workflow efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with company policies, ISO 9001 standards, and HSE guidelines.


Job Duties

  • Manage new order scheduling and revisions within the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.
  • Adjust schedules for cancellations, changes in priority, or disruptions such as equipment downtime or material delays.
  • Participate in daily/weekly production meetings to communicate progress, risks, and capacity constraints.
  • Track and report key scheduling metrics (on-time delivery, backlog aging, schedule adherence).
  • Troubleshoot ERP-related issues and collaborate with IT or Planning teams to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Support internal audits, corrective actions (CARs), and risk assessments related to planning and scheduling processes.
  • Contribute to contingency planning for equipment, supplier, or utility disruptions.
  • Maintain effective communication across internal teams and external partners to ensure schedule transparency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and customer goals


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates must be located in the Grand Bay, AL Region.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle is strongly preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • APICS CPIM, Lean, or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Experience in ISO/API/ASME-compliant operations is a plus.
