Job Description Summary

As a Data Analysis Specialist, you will support data-driven decision-making by performing data mining, maintaining databases, and generating business reports, including ad hoc requests. You will maintain and troubleshoot Spotfire tools to meet site-specific needs and assist engineers in capacity planning and analytics alignment. Using Lean principles, such as Kaizen and GE Aerospace's Flight Deck system, you will participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives and solve problems by identifying root causes and implementing countermeasures. Additionally, you will ensure data governance to maintain data quality, security, and compliance.

For more than 40 years, our advanced facilities in Singapore have led aerospace innovation across Asia Pacific. From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:
  • Perform data mining and maintain databases in accordance with established procedures.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc business reports with low-to-medium complexity.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Spotfire tools, collaborating with engineers and the Spotfire team to improve tool performance.
  • Identify root causes of issues and execute countermeasures with guidance from cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in Kaizen activities and support process improvement efforts.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of production planning and assist in aligning analytics solutions with business objectives.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance by following established governance protocols.
  • Assist engineers in capacity planning by gathering and analyzing capacity data.

Required Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with a GPA above 3.5 preferred, OR a minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of VBA and programming is an advantage.
  • Solid math skills and strong number sense.
