The Accounting & Reporting Team Lead is part of FBT Mexico centre and will lead a team of skilled financial analysts to deliver the business' Monthly Close processes for the Fuels Mexico business, including monthly accounting close, fixed assets, inventory, etc. In this role, you will provide accounting expertise and leadership to team members, driving the generation of actuals and creation of business performance insights that will enable the Fuels Mexico leadership team to deliver on desired financial outcomes.
Job Summary
• Provide insight to business leads on the actuals and performance of the Fuels Mexico business
• Closely partner with the global reporting team to align on data submission timelines, while accounting for validation and checks and financial control processes
• Leads effective review and approval of financial statements, delivering results from Shared Services
• Apply knowledge of accounting standards to resolve reporting issues
• Ensures taxes are reported in accordance with Group requirements including additional and supplementary data.
• Provide auditors the information and schedules needed to meet our annual Group and Statutory Audit, working in conjunction with the Internal Control Manager and Head of Finance to effectively deliver all requirements.
• Execute key monthly close processes to deliver Monthly Group Financial Review
• Report, analyze and provide for interventions to manage EBITDA: costs, working capital, capex, and cash flow
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• 5+ years of prior experience leading a team, with demonstrated ability to build capability and efficiently utilize resources
• 8+ years of experience in roles requiring a systematic close processes in compliance with accounting standards
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated individual with the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical skills and financial knowledge with demonstrated ability to translate concepts into actions and results
• Leverages SAP to manage financial operations, prepare financial statements, and analyze data to provide insights for decision-making
• English written and verbal communications (requiered)
