Role Synopsis
The Reliability Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to ensuring the reliability, safety, and internal compliance of bpx upstream oil and gas operations in the Eagle Ford asset. This role focuses on proactive maintenance strategies, troubleshooting, and regulatory support to minimize downtime, optimize asset performance, and ensure environmental and safety compliance.

How much do we pay (Base)? $141,000 - $166,000

Role Synopsis
The Reliability Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to ensuring the reliability, safety, and internal compliance of bpx upstream oil and gas operations in the Eagle Ford asset. This role focuses on proactive maintenance strategies, troubleshooting, and regulatory support to minimize downtime, optimize asset performance, and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
Key Accountabilities
Preventative Maintenance Leadership:
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for critical upstream equipment.
- Ensure timely inspections and servicing to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
Flare Systems:
- Oversee flare preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Air Compressors:
- Manage air compressor preventative maintenance schedules and resolve operational issues promptly.
Leak Detection & Repair (LDAR):
- Implement and monitor LDAR programs to minimize emissions and maintain regulatory compliance.
Safety-Critical Equipment:
- Coordinate testing and compliance activities for safety-critical equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Gas Cooler Fleet Management:
- Lead maintenance and performance optimization for gas cooler assets across the fleet.
Regulatory & Emissions Support:
- Collaborate with the regulatory team on emissions management initiatives and reporting requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop reliability technicians.
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Essential Experience and Education
- 10+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations, with a focus on reliability and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies and reliability principles.
- Experience managing contractors and roustabout crews.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to emissions and safety-critical equipment. Experience with SAP-PM.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
