The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Piping Engineer to join our UAE Business unit. This role is full time residential role based in Dubai, UAE.

This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.
The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24", ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.
Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

A Lead Piping Engineer oversees the installation, inspection, and testing of piping systems on construction sites to ensure they meet design specifications, codes, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include supervising site installation, conducting inspections and testing (including non-destructive testing), managing resources and tools, and providing on-site technical support and solutions to problems.
We're looking for experienced lead Piping Engineers, who will work in a site-based engineering team in Iraq for brownfield/revamp scope. The requirement is for 6-9 months. The job would involve resolving site queries, construction related queries, locations of tie-ins and routing of new piping systems. Candidate to maintain good cooperation with our client and work with them to determine to optimum solutions, mitigations and installation methods for new piping and equipment in the existing facilities.
When needed, work will be from Dubai Office to align with the project team, participating in meetings and reviews when not possible for video conference.

Key responsibilities:
- Resolve technical problems related to design at the site, propose field solutions, and liaise with the home office engineering team if complex technical problems cannot be solved by Field Engineering Team
- Oversee and manage the fabrication and installation of piping systems on site.
- Inspect and test piping systems to ensure compliance with engineering designs, safety standards, and relevant codes (like ASME or API).
- Address and provide solutions for any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Conduct site visits, monitor schedules, and contribute to project documentation
- Develop relationships for easy coordination with the local construction team, site team and engineering team.
- Develop installation philosophies and execution plans of new piping systems and new equipment to be installed in existing facilities
- Determine tie-in locations in cooperation with the Client organization
- Prepare red-line markups on PIDs, Isometrics as per site construction requirement. If soft copies required, work with relevant engineer support to generate the required documentation.
- Provide engineering support to field procurement activities as needed, such as develop technical scopes or MTOs
- Attend piping contractor weekly coordination meetings if requested

- Actively stimulate and participate in continuous improvement of work procedures and practices.

Expected:
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience either as Field Engineer or Piping Engineer involved in Stress Analysis, MTOs etc.
- Proven Field Experience in Engineering and Construction
- Plant Turn-Around (TAR) experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical / Piping Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API)
- Proficiency with piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, E3D, Ceaser) is often required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
