Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned IT and engineering systems leader to drive the implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of SmartPlant Engineering Suite within our project delivery ecosystem. This role will be instrumental in establishing resilient infrastructure, enabling digital transformation, and ensuring operational and delivery excellence across complex capital projects, particularly in the nuclear and power sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

SmartPlant Suite Strategy & Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of SmartPlant tools (e.g., SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Instrumentation, Smart 3D, Smart Electrical, SmartPlant Foundation, SPO).
  • Define and enforce digital engineering standards, data governance models, and workflows across multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Champion the integration of SmartPlant with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, AVEVA, Autodesk) to enable a unified digital thread.

Engineering IT Infrastructure & System Administration
  • Architect and manage the IT infrastructure for SmartPlant deployment, including cloud/on-premise servers, databases, and network configurations.
  • Ensure system scalability, cybersecurity compliance, and high availability across global project environments.
  • Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure secure, real-time access to engineering data.

Capability Development & Knowledge Management
  • Build internal digital capability through structured training, mentoring, and certification programs (e.g., SmartPlant Admin, ITIL, PMP).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories for SmartPlant tools and workflows.
  • Stay abreast of Hexagon's latest innovations (e.g., HxGN SDx, Smart Cloud, SPO) and recommend strategic upgrades.

Delivery Excellence & Digital Transformation
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance engineering productivity, data integrity, and project delivery timelines.
  • Monitor KPIs and analytics to assess tool effectiveness, user adoption, and project performance.
  • Support business development by demonstrating digital engineering capabilities to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between IT and engineering teams to enable timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Implement automation and digital workflows to reduce manual intervention and improve delivery consistency.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to proactively identify risks, optimize resource utilization, and improve decision-making across project lifecycles.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with defined timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma, Post Diploma, BE, MTech in Computer Technology
  • 15-20+ years of experience in engineering systems, with at least 5 years in SmartPlant Suite implementation and digital engineering leadership.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning, system integration, and digital project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of EPC workflows, asset lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance in sectors like nuclear, oil & gas, or power.

Key Competencies:
  • Deep expertise in SmartPlant tools (including SmartPlant Foundation and SPO) and their integration with enterprise platforms.
  • Strong leadership in engineering systems architecture, digital governance, and change management.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, client-facing, and cross-functional team leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Certifications:
  • SmartPlant Administrator / Implementation Certifications (e.g., SPI, S3D, SPF)
  • ITIL, PMP, or equivalent infrastructure/project management certifications
  • Exposure to cloud-based engineering environments (e.g., Hexagon Smart Cloud, HxGN SDx)
