We are looking for a seasoned Lead Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in construction and installation of heavy mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing Installation, Construction, and Maintenance Material Handling Reports, with a focus on both greenfield and brownfield modifications. The role requires a deep understanding of equipment installation, structural integration, and maintenance access planning.

The role requires a deep understanding of equipment installation, structural integration, and maintenance access planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of installation and construction activities for major mechanical equipment including:
- Compressors
- Package Boilers
- STG
- Large Columns and Vessels
- Acid Gas Blowers
- HRSG Packages
- Flares and Incinerators
- Large Bore Valves
- Prepare detailed Material Handling Reports, including lifting studies, rigging plans, and equipment access strategies.
- Evaluate and design crane access and standing areas for installation and maintenance operations.
- Assess and validate pipe rack strength and structural adequacy for supporting new loads during brownfield modifications.
- Develop and review installation and maintenance strategies for integration with existing facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Coordinate with structural, piping, and civil teams to ensure compatibility of new installations with existing infrastructure.
- Provide input on Passive Fire Protection (PFP) requirements for existing structures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in 3D Model and constructability reviews and provide technical solutions for complex installation challenges.
- Ensure all activities comply with project specifications, industry codes (ASME, API, etc.), and HSE standards.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 15-20 years of experience in mechanical construction, installation, and maintenance within large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven experience in brownfield modifications and integration with existing facilities.
- Strong knowledge of structural assessments, pipe rack loading, and PFP systems.
- Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, lifting plans, and method statements.
- Familiarity with international standards and best practices in mechanical construction and safety.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
