National Instruments Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Repair Services Operations Manager for its offices in Austin, TX

Job Description:

Plan and coordinate daily activities performed by the repair and shipping teams. Evaluate KPIs (Key Process Indicators), analyze performance data, and make the necessary adjustments in the operation in order to meet the established business goals. Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, customer experience, and service quality. Manage team's performance and development plans. Plan yearly budget and manage operational expenses. Identify head count requirements and hire new resources if required. Work with other NI teams and with external service partners to solve customer issues and to improve customer experience. Lead and participate in projects aimed at improving existing processes or introducing new processes. Collaborate with managers in remote repair locations in Asia and Europe in global initiatives. Work with the local Manufacturing Hardware Services management team in solving local operations and customer issues. Telecommuting limited to one day per work week; must work in the office the remaining four days.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering Technologies, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience in a quality engineering or manufacturing occupation. The required experience must include the following:

  • 2 years of experience creating quality documentation for processes used and analyzing data to make informed decisions on repairs.


  • 2 years of experience working to drive efficiency and improve quality in a quality engineering or manufacturing environment.


  • 2 years of experience managing and adhering to ISO9001:2015 standards


  • 1 year of experience with project management tools such as JIRA, SFDC, AzDO .


Work location: 11500 North Mopac Expressway, Austin, TX 78759. Telecommuting limited to one day per work week; must work in the office the remaining four days.
