As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities associated with the manufacturing process. Your role will directly impact departmental operations through effective planning and execution of tasks within an established operational framework. While you will have some autonomy, your focus will be on ensuring activities align with standard functional practices and procedures. You may be required to exercise judgment in certain situations, typically with guidance from established protocols or leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define and oversee production processes, including the selection, implementation, and control of tooling and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Validate design specifications and ensure successful shop floor application of new products, tools, and equipment.
• Develop expertise in technical disciplines, leveraging prior experience and technical knowledge to execute policies and strategies effectively.
• Understand key business drivers and apply this knowledge to achieve individual and team objectives.
• Collaborate across teams, ensuring seamless integration of your team's work with other departments to contribute to overall business goals.
• Exercise judgment and problem-solving skills, proposing solutions outside of established parameters when necessary, with guidance from leadership.
• Utilize technical skills and analytical thinking to address challenges and complete tasks, drawing on internal resources and on-the-job training.
• Act as an individual contributor or early-stage people leader, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to hire, mentor, and develop team members.
• Provide informal guidance and support to new team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering).
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience.
