Power Electronics Engineering Section ManagerWhat You'll Do: Lead Engineering Operations: Direct all engineering activities for existing UPS and Battery products; from planning and design to testing, commissioning, and in-service support. Develop Talent: Manage and mentor team Engineering staff, providing training, cross-training, and professional development opportunities. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to salary planning. Drive Product Enhancements: Oversee enhancement programs for UPS and Battery solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards. Manage Testing & Reporting: Supervise characterization testing and reporting for UPS and Battery systems. Support project leads in meeting schedules and deliverables. Optimize Processes: Maintain and improve configuration management and data retention policies to enhance engineering efficiency. Innovate Power Electronics: Lead development and testing of power electronic products, including converters and inverters, using medium to high power switching components. Support Quality & Service: Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Service teams to resolve customer and vendor issues, escalating to Product Managers when necessary. Budget Oversight: Monitor and assess section budget performance against plan. Sales Support: Participate in risk reviews, bid schedule evaluations, and solution scoping for customer specifications. Global Collaboration: Establish effective communication with overseas R&D offices to support product development and innovation. Promote Professionalism: Represent company positively in all internal and external interactions. What You Bring: Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in designing UPS solutions, battery, and power quality design, with at least 3 years in a management role; or equivalent education and experience. Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of power systems, power electronics, and protection circuitry. Testing Proficiency: Strong experience in lab testing, instrumentation, and reporting for power electronics. Leadership & Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to foster collaboration and maintain strong relationships. Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical skills to troubleshoot and optimize engineering solutions. Teamwork: Ability to lead and work within cross-functional teams on multiple projects. Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software tools.
