This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:
Director of Rebuild, CS Quality&Warranty

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead local operations with accountability for day-to-day execution of the CS Modernization services team, exceeding customer expectations through efficient operational performance. Each day, you will drive lean and faultless operations across the extended value chain, optimizing cost and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by creating, implementing, and reviewing the operations strategy.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • Guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect reports.
  • Manage operations for Project Managers for System Service Projects - could include Powertrain / Paint / Arc Welding / Material Handling, Body-in-White and General Industry types of projects
  • Optimize processes and products to make it more efficient.
  • Direct and coordinate work by outside vendors and inside personnel, including Mechanical Design and controls resources.
  • This position requires someone that can adapt to a wide range of different problems. The Modernization Service group is responsible for any industry that ABB has sold robots to as well as the many different applications within these industries.


The work model for the role is : #LI-Hybrid in our Auburn Hills, MI facility

Qualifications for the Role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations or similar field preferred; will consider relevant work experience too
  • 12 or more years' experience in leading automation project management
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of Powertrain / Paint / ArcWelding / Material Handling, Body-in-White and General Industry types of projects
  • Proven experience in operations management
  • You are immersed in Project Management tools and Robotics Automation
  • Have a demonstrated track record in process improvements based of results
  • English fluency
  • Candidates must possess authorization to work permanently without sponsorship now or in the future
