Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
- Maintain relevant HSE logs and records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and submit applicable HSE reports as necessary.
- Provide assistance and recommendations to facility management on HSE issues.
- Participate in detailed incident investigations and promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
- Assist in the development and delivery of relevant HSE training.
- Promote and enforce HSE regulations, ensure PPE compliance, and correct or report hazards immediately.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Exposure to moving equipment within the production floor.
- Exposure to loud noise while walking through production areas.
- Approximately 50% of the workday spent in an office environment; 50% on the production floor, depending on operational needs.
- Occasional exposure to hot and/or cold temperatures depending on outside climate and shop conditions.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in HSE or Occupational Health Certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience required.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, as well as industry standards (NFPA, ASME, ANSI, etc.) relevant to manufacturing.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED Trainer Certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Action-oriented, able to multitask, and adheres to all facility safety policies and training requirements.
- Effective communicator who works well with diverse teams, supervisors, and managers.
- Skilled in presenting and training small or large groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and company software such as JDE and UKG Pro Workforce Management.
