JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Baku, Azerbaijan.

• Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world
• Checking and scanning of supplier invoices into the accounts payable system.
• Expediting internal approval of invoices & monitoring supplier payments.
• Liaison with supply chain function and supplier focal points.
• Filing of accounts payable invoices.
• Ensuring correct intercompany agreements in place.
• Managing & reviewing intercompany invoices.
• Monthly Reconciliation of Accounts Payable & Intercompany Account Payable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of payments for supplier invoices and intercompany invoices.
• Reviewing and preparing weekly payment run.
• Maintaining a register of all foreign currency payments with proper details.
• Timely submission of documentation to the bank to formally close foreign payment obligations in accordance with CBA regulations.
• Monitor vendor account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  Preparing monthly AR/AP Intercompany Report and AR/AP Intercompany Reconciliation sheet.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior accounting experience in a similar role.
• Degree in economics/finance.
• Good command of English and Azerbaijani.
• Basic knowledge of Azeri local legislation,
• MS Excel intermediate user.
• Experience with ERPs.
• ACCA (F3) is an advantage.
• Good self-management and organisational skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills for regular interaction with supply chain function and suppliers.
• Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative
• Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment
