JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tariff-Driven Strategy Development
    • Monitor and analyze U.S. import tariffs and global trade policy developments
    • Create and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, lead time, and risk exposure based on tariff impacts
    • Provide data-backed recommendations for shifting supply sources or adjusting insourcing/outsourcing models
  • Global Manufacturing Site Assessment
    • Evaluate and recommend which regional manufacturing sites should produce specific parts/components based on tariff exposure, logistics costs, and customer demand locations
    • Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to align sourcing decisions with regional capacity and capabilities
  • Resourcing/Insourcing/Outsourcing Execution
    • Lead initiatives to transition production across suppliers or in-house operations
    • Develop business cases for outsourcing or insourcing decisions, factoring in financial, operational, and compliance considerations
    • Ensure smooth execution of sourcing transitions while minimizing supply disruptions
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with procurement, finance, trade compliance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align strategies with business goals
    • Partner with senior leadership to reassess sourcing models as tariff and trade landscapes evolve
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Build models to simulate tariff cost impacts under different scenarios
    • Provide clear reporting and presentations to leadership on sourcing recommendations, cost savings, and risk mitigation strategies


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain strategy, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Deep knowledge of global trade policies, tariffs, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
  • Experience leading cross-border sourcing initiatives, including supplier transitions and manufacturing footprint optimization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence senior leaders
  • Domestic and international travel may be required
