KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tariff-Driven Strategy Development
- Monitor and analyze U.S. import tariffs and global trade policy developments
- Create and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, lead time, and risk exposure based on tariff impacts
- Provide data-backed recommendations for shifting supply sources or adjusting insourcing/outsourcing models
- Global Manufacturing Site Assessment
- Evaluate and recommend which regional manufacturing sites should produce specific parts/components based on tariff exposure, logistics costs, and customer demand locations
- Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to align sourcing decisions with regional capacity and capabilities
- Resourcing/Insourcing/Outsourcing Execution
- Lead initiatives to transition production across suppliers or in-house operations
- Develop business cases for outsourcing or insourcing decisions, factoring in financial, operational, and compliance considerations
- Ensure smooth execution of sourcing transitions while minimizing supply disruptions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with procurement, finance, trade compliance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align strategies with business goals
- Partner with senior leadership to reassess sourcing models as tariff and trade landscapes evolve
- Analytics & Reporting
- Build models to simulate tariff cost impacts under different scenarios
- Provide clear reporting and presentations to leadership on sourcing recommendations, cost savings, and risk mitigation strategies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain strategy, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Deep knowledge of global trade policies, tariffs, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
- Experience leading cross-border sourcing initiatives, including supplier transitions and manufacturing footprint optimization
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence senior leaders
- Domestic and international travel may be required
