This role is contributing to the Motion Business High Power Division in Bangalore India
We are looking for a Embedded Control Test Engineer at ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL). This is a company which has 4 business areas to support ABB R&D projects globally. We are in Bangalore, India and we have 2000 employees as a part of this company serving in the areas of Research, Development, Engineering center and Regional ERP support center which contributes to ABB's 4 business areas globally. In 2015 the company name was registered as ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL). This position is opened in the Motion High Power (MOHP) Division, which is a global technology leader in converters. We keep the world turning, while saving energy every day. Our converters help our customers to achieve energy efficiency, sustainability and achieve profitable growth. You would be reporting to one of the R&D Team Lead located in Bangalore. You will be working with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of the global R&D community spread across the ABB MOHP division .

Your responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded controllers used in electrical drive systems
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, communication and performance standards.
- Participate in refinement meetings to understand the VFD Functions and System Testing requirements and perform in customer-focused Test Automation development activities on drive functions.
- Test Requirement Analysis, Manual Testing, Test Automation code development activities in C#/Python in line with the feature and quality management system.
- Maintains the test defect logs captured during the testing and testing automation development of the assigned product.
- Supports the Product owner in coordinating to provide and receive the technical inputs for the project and resolving the technical issues with the global architecture and development teams.
- Verifying if the embedded products complies with the cyber security standards.
Your background:
- Bachelor's / master's degree in Electronics, Electrical engineering, Embedded Systems or related field with 3 to 6 years of experience in Testing and Test Automation of Embedded Systems.
- Good Knowledge of embedded devices with Minimum 3 years of working Exp in embedded device testing.
- Deep understanding of Microcontrollers, processors and peripheral interfaces.
- Experience with JTAG, logic analyzers, software debuggers and communication protocols like SPI,I2C,UART & CAN and comes with knowledge about different Fieldbus communication protocols.
- Knowledge about the cyber security standards and requirements for embedded devices eg: IEC 62443.
- Good Proficiency in the Test Automation using C# / Python / Robo Framework.
- Good understanding of Configuration management, Code Repository, Requirements management, Code Management, CI/CD and different testing phases including Release testing.
- Experience in working with Industrial Drives / VFDs (drives), Drives testing, knowledge on Drives Applications, Drive control loops, Drives Configurations and Drives System Topologies will have an added advantage.
