Subsystems Engineer Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Define andanalyze requirements for satellite/instrument structure design, consideringmission goals, environmental conditions, verification, AIT, and productassurance
• Developspacecraft and instrument configurations, optimizing the design of primary,secondary, and tertiary structures in collaboration with multiple engineeringteams
• Design andconstruct lightweight mechanical structures, optical mechanisms, roboticssubsystems, and opto-mechanical mounts, ensuring compliance with optical,structural, and thermal performance requirements.
• Integratesystem-level requirements (MTP/OMTS) into mechanical spacecraft/instrumentdesigns, including 3D harness routing
• Performstructural analysis, including gravity and moment of inertia calculations, anddefine structural masses
• Create andmaintain all technical documentation, including manufacturing drawings,integration envelopes, and interface requirement drawings (IRD) for subsystems

Your Qualifications

• Degree inMechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• Professionalexperience in lightweight structures, differential, integral, and sandwichconstruction
• Strongproficiency in CAD software for mechanical design
• Well-organizedwith a proactive, team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills
• Highinitiative, cost awareness, and the ability to identify and mitigate technicalrisks early in the design process
• Convincingand self-assured, with a results-driven mindset
