About the Role
The Accommodation Assistant Project Manager will support and enable the Council's change and transformation corporate programmes via the project management of office relocations, small refurbishments, property vacations, furniture provision/disposal projects, and general property moves, as part of the Council's property review and asset rationalisation projects.
You will be part of the Strategic Asset and Accommodation Team and in this role you will be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience in the successful delivery of office move projects or similar working effectively across a range of stakeholders to provide customer focused services including the commissioning and managing of consultants and construction contractors, ensuring that works are delivered effectively.

About the Role

You will be part of the Strategic Asset and Accommodation Team and in this role you will be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience in the successful delivery of office move projects or similar working effectively across a range of stakeholders to provide customer focused services including the commissioning and managing of consultants and construction contractors, ensuring that works are delivered effectively.
About You
- To plan, monitor and control relocation, vacation and moves projects taking all action required to achieve the Services', financial and other objectives ensuring these stay within agreed timescales.
- To plan, monitor and control relocation and other project budgets and take action to control variations to agreed budgets.
- To co-ordinate and lead multi-disciplinary project teams (e.g., IT/Telephony staff, occupants, change managers, contractors, etc.) to assist in the efficient and timely delivery of the project programme.
- To procure furniture using the Council's value for money and sustainability agenda and consider all options for recycling and disposal of surplus furniture.
- To obtain and analyse IT (e.g. pre-move IT surveys) and building related data through audits and reviews making recommendations for the provision, disposal or use of buildings to maximise efficient use.
- To be a main point of contact for staff involved in accommodation move projects, including challenging the status quo in order to maximise effectiveness, efficiency and performance of all council accommodation
- To co-ordinate appointed Move Champions supporting the office moves and ensure a consistent approach. To collaborate with the Change Manager when one has been appointed on the project
- To be responsible for creating, updating and record keeping of CAD for the Capital Projects and Property service area on behalf of the Council.
- To be responsible for ensuring accurate spatial planning/dimensional guidance to the Accommodation Moves Team, Project Delivery Team, Landlord Works team and other Departments that comply with Workplace Regulations 1992.
