Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary:
Management of the installation and operation of Motor Transport field maintenance shops, field recovery, and the control and operation of recovery and contact maintenance teams. Through subordinate supervisors/leads, coordinates activities of workers engaged in servicing, storing and repairing Motor Transport equipment and workers engaged in servicing and repairing all Motor Transport equipment to obtain optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel, and supporting tools and special test equipment. Interprets specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts. Through subordinate supervisors/leads, ensures all completed work is in compliance with specifications and time schedules. Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operations reports to determine requirements and makes recommendations to management that will improve overall efficiency. Assists in the approval of requisitions for equipment, materials and supplies within limits of the department budget. Performs administrative management tasks and prepares related management reports. Assists in the formulation of administrative and operations policies and procedures and ensures compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations. Provided technical guidance/assistance and makes decisions where written guidelines are not available. Plans and manages human resource activities within assigned area of responsibility, and within an organized labor-union environment. Supervises direct reports (lead mechanics). Establishes performance objectives/goals. Supervises the requisitioning, receipt and allocation of tools, parts, and material required for a Motor Transport shop. Established and supervises production line and established process procedures. Recommends changes to procedures as appropriate. Maintains MPF ISO-9002 policies and procedures and ensures on-going compliance with such.

Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
- Eight years of directly related work experience including four years supervisory experience in a motor transport environment.
- Completed the motor transport maintenance officer course, or equivalent.
- Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
- Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare part equipment.
- Ability to analyze maintenance repair or operation to determine methods of improvement.
- Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and be CAC eligible.
