Your Role and Responsibilities

We are now looking for new Production Development Engineers to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team in Vaasa Finland. In these positions you will gain the challenging role of driving and supporting various production development projects and tasks. You will join a professional team of experts that will support you and your development in project and product management.

Additionally, you will be employing a solution-focused approach to address challenges and drive progress in line with organizational goals by utilizing your knowledge of overall manufacturing processes and technologies to identify areas for enhancing and implementing new solutions. Overall, these roles offer a front row seat to the latest technical development in manufacturing, with opportunities to build and implement new solutions.

You will mainly be accountable for:

• Actively driving continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment, resulting in enhanced efficiency and quality standards.
• Providing ongoing support to the production organization, ensuring readiness to overcome any operational challenges and maintaining smooth production flow.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and technologies, leveraging expertise in machine construction and project management.
• Leading various production development projects as both a project engineer and a project manager, overseeing the implementation of new technologies and processes.
• Fostering an environment of open-mindedness and collaboration, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and participate in problem-solving activities.

Qualifications for the Role

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree in engineering, for example in electrical, mechanical, industrial automation or similar
• Extensive experience (>5 years) in manufacturing, production, or production development roles
• Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing LEAN or automation
• Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively and maintain a solution-focused mindset in a dynamic work environment
• Positive approach with an active and self-driven mindset
