Program Summary

Job Summary

As a Carpenter Foreman you will lead and coordinate carpentry operations on a dynamic construction project. This role supports the General Foreman by identifying key success factors for the carpentry crew and ensuring the execution of services meets contract, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The Carpenter Foreman will be responsible for managing subcontractor performance, maintaining short-range planning schedules, and overseeing tool and equipment needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the General Foreman in identifying key success factors for the carpentry crew and contribute to strategic planning and execution of carpentry-related tasks

• Lead and supervise daily carpentry operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards

• Coordinate and monitor employees performance, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, time lines, and workmanship expectations

• Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and design data to guide carpentry activities and resolve technical issues on-site

• Maintain and update short-range look-ahead schedules, identifying potential delays or resource constraints and communicating deviations to the General Foreman

• Track and manage labor hours, material usage, and equipment deployment to ensure adherence to cost and man-hour budgets

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring availability, maintenance, and proper usage across the crew

• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

• Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to carpentry team members to promote skill development and performance improvement

• Collaborate with other trades and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work within the broader construction schedule

• Report progress, risks, and cost-impacting factors to the project team, offering recommendations for corrective actions when necessary

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in construction management or related field is preferred.

• Requires at least 5 years experience as a Carpenter.

• Requires at least 2 years experience in Leadership, Supervisory, or Management experience.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and quality standards.

• Requires the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of responsibility required.

• Intermediate in English proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at an Intermediate level.

• Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.

• Must posses vehicle driving permit (driver license), category B (light vehicle).

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

• Be efficient; detailed-oriented with excellent work ethics.

• Familiar with often changing deadlines, inquiries and related pressures and able to handle multiple tasks

• Familiar with structures locations in CBS

• Familiar with PMI procedures (field work and paper work pertaining PMI)
