This Position reports to:
Global PA Data Solutions Lead

Your role and responsibilities

You will be responsible for the design and quality of global Data & Analytics solutions and of associated IS (Information Systems) services delivered to ABB Process Automation.

The work model for the role is: #LI_hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Defining technical Data & Analytics solutions.
• Supporting validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Owner and/or Solution Architect and/or Development Manager.
• Reviewing and signing off the functional and technical use case specifications.
• Profiling data to proof business processes on data level. Designing data flows, data models, using Snowflake.
• Contributing to IS Problem and IS Incident Management to fight ticket volume by detecting re-occurring defects and eliminating these. Proactively supports issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service.
• Participating in quality assurance steps, such as system integration and user acceptance testing.
• Keeping knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging BI methodology & technology as well as IS industry practices, bringing learning into ABB. Supporting team development by sharing expert knowledge and work experience & actively contributing in continuous team improvements.

Qualifications for the role:

• Master's degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience in stakeholder management, business requirement gathering and consulting combined with knowledge of business processes in producing and service industries.
• Practical knowledge of various data modelling and profiling techniques, Snowflake, Data Warehouse architecture, ETL tools, programming languages (SQL, Python) and Software Development methodologies (e.g. Agile / DevOps).
• Knowledge of Data Modeler tools, Power BI & Power Apps, MDX, DAX languages Artificial Intelligence methods, MS BI solution (OLAP & Tabular) is a plus
• Fluent spoken and written English.
