Vestas Technology & Operations > Procurement > Electrical
Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO's mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities across the organization. The team leads cross-functional category teams, manages supplier negotiations and contracts, develops end-to-end cost optimization strategies, and drives category strategy and supplier relationship management.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping Vestas' global supply chain — enabling the delivery of reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions to our customers. You will collaborate across commodity and module teams worldwide, acting as the anchor point for cross-commodity topics and engaging closely with stakeholders across the entire organization.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced, strategically important environment, driving initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and decision-making across the organization. You will manage multiple critical projects simultaneously and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tangible results.

• Strategic Projects and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance, representing Procurement in key forums and meetings. Act as the primary liaison for Electrical Procurement in cross-functional projects (e.g., Cost-Out, Modularization, Digitalization), ensuring alignment, progress, and timely delivery
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the value chain, including footprint optimization and sourcing scope reviews

• Risk Management and Business Opportunities
- Work closely with commodity teams to identify potential risks and implement proactive mitigation measures
- Explore and execute new business opportunities with an end-to-end perspective, driving operational excellence and supporting Vestas' strategic growth

• Team Development and Knowledge Sharing
- Facilitate onboarding and knowledge transfer to strengthen team competencies and enhance collective performance. Promote collaboration within the global and regional matrix organization to ensure process consistency, strategic alignment, and delivery of savings and value-added initiatives

• Process Compliance and Budget Oversight
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate procurement policies and processes, promoting a culture of compliance and accountability
- Support the Electrical Procurement leadership team with accurate and timely performance tracking and budget reporting

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management within a global, matrixed organization
  • Good understanding of procurement financials, cost structures, and performance metrics
  • Familiarity with procurement compliance frameworks and risk mitigation practices
  • Experience with procurement and reporting tools such as SAP, Ariba, and Power BI. Advanced skills in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders across diverse functions and geographie
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken

Competencies

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following competencies and personal attributes:

  • Able to perform effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver measurable results within deadlines
  • Skilled in building relationships and engaging effectively across organizational levels, functions, and cultures
  • Capable of mobilizing stakeholders, driving initiatives, and achieving results through others with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Displays a proactive and positive attitude, consistently challenging existing processes and identifying better ways of working
  • Understands how procurement initiatives connect to broader business objectives and contributes to delivering long-term value across the value chain
  • Acts with professionalism, transparency, and the highest ethical standards in all interactions and decisions

What we offer
