Job Description:

Senior Reservoir - Petroleum Engineering position who will serve as Waterflood Regional Lead, integrating across subsurface, production and wells, to maximize the value associated with the waterflooding projects across GoAC operated assets. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspectsof waterflood operations, optimizing reservoir performance, and driving strategic initiatives across assigned assets within the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in petroleum engineering, proven leadership, integration and influencing abilities, and a track record of successful water injection project management.

High-level responsibilities are below, but may change with business priorities:

  • Support the planning, implementation, and optimization of waterflood projects across GoAC operating assets, to maximize oil recovery and reservoir health.
  • Develop strategies for water injection, monitoring, and surveillance activities.
  • Analyze reservoir performance data, interpret results, and recommend adjustments to waterflood programs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration between subsurface disciplines, production operations and wells to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for technology application and innovation in waterflood operations.
  • Keep open communication and consultancy with technical advisers and industry experts.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and technical personnel within the region.
  • Bring and share industry learnings from other operators in the GoAC region.
  • Participate in OBO water injection conversations.
  • Represent the company in regional forums, workshops, and industry conferences related to waterflooding

Essential Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in petroleum engineering or related field, Master's preferred.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the energy industry with knowledge of subsurface, interventions, production management and operations.
  • Great communication and integration skills. Ability to communicate complex subsurface topics to stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience facilitating multidisciplinary risk assessments and technical investigations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, and production surveillance systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in waterflooding.
  • Ability to travel offshore within the region as required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with deepwater offshore operations and water flooding
  • History of innovation and continuous improvement in waterflood management.
  • Familiarity with Pressure Transient Analysis using KAPPA Saphir
  • Ability to learn new software and applications

Travel Requirement:

Will require periodic travel (~10%) to our offshore assets in the Gulf of America.
