INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE / SENIOR ASSOCIATE - SOUTH KOREA Renewable Energy Platform Location: South Korea (Seoul based) Reports to: Investment Director About Our Client Our client is a leading pan-Asian renewable energy platform focused on developing and investing in utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the region. With an established presence in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore, they are backed by a top-tier global infrastructure investment firm. The Role This is a position within the South Korea investment team. You will play a critical role in evaluating renewable energy investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting project finance transactions across the region. This role offers direct exposure to utility-scale renewable energy projects and the opportunity to work alongside seasoned investment professionals. Key Responsibilities Conduct financial modeling and analysis for renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems Review and adjust project finance models to reflect specific project requirements and structure Perform due diligence on potential investments including review of project documentation, power purchase agreements, and other commercial contracts Support the structuring and execution of project finance transactions Prepare investment committee materials and presentations Monitor portfolio company performance and conduct ongoing financial analysis Collaborate with technical, legal, and commercial teams to evaluate investment opportunities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field 4 to 5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure advisory Strong project finance fundamentals with hands-on financial modeling experience Experience modeling complex energy infrastructure projects (CCGT or similar thermal assets highly valued) Bilingual fluency in Korean and English (written and verbal) Proficient in Excel and financial modeling tools Strong analytical and quantitative skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities Preferred Experience Renewable energy project finance or advisory background Experience with non-recourse or limited recourse financing structures Understanding of power purchase agreements and energy market dynamics Exposure to investment decision-making processes CFA or relevant professional qualification
