The Additive Process Simulation Advanced Lead Engineer will develop DMLM Simulation methodology in area of build simulation stress prediction accuracy and crack prediction for aeronautical components, with focus on part producibility and optimization of the printed part and printing process. You will be responsible for the development, validation, implementation, and improvement of additive analysis approach. In this role you will cooperate with a global engineering team, utilize engineering and analytical skills to solve problems and advance additive simulations techniques, and manage engineering/software development projects.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide essential skills and expertise for the full scope of project management including all aspects of technical expertise, leadership, effective communication, planning, time management, risk management and problem solving.
  • Interface with a cross functional team to enhance additive simulation approach.
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project
  • Develop and optimize additive simulation approach with focus on build simulation stress prediction accuracy and crack prediction.
  • Author and audit best practices for additive process simulation
  • Collect and interpret data and document results.
  • Effectively communicate project outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Lead projects intended to run, test, and improve additive processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or other related disciplines (Mechanical Design, Mechatronics, Materials etc.) with significant experience in FEM analyses
  • Broad and practical knowledge in the field of FEM Analysis (Crack Prediction, Static, Modal, Creep Analysis)
  • Exposure to metal additive and it's challenges
  • Experience with one or more additive build simulation packages (Simufact, Amphyon, Netfabb Simulation, Panx, etc) preferred
  • Good track record of completed projects
  • Good communication in verbal and written English
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to communicate at a variety of levels, from detailed design reviews to high-level leadership reviews
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written, oral, and presentation skill
  • Established project management skills is a plus
  • Programming skills is a plus
