Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Accounting & Reporting Manager to lead our General Accounting function. This role is critical for ensuring the complete, accurate, and timely execution of all accounting activities, including financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert who drives process excellence, upholds the highest standards of financial integrity, and ensures adherence to both internal policies (ABB guidelines) and external regulatory requirements (local GAAP).

Your Role and Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
  • Lead and oversee the entire month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages and associated disclosures.
  • Oversee the production of financial statements in the required formats for timely filing with regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance in all financial reporting and external disclosures.

Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Act as the process owner for Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR), specifically for Record-to-Report (R2R) cycle.
  • Ensure all financial processes and controls are effectively designed and operating correctly to mitigate financial reporting risks.
  • Enforce compliance with RARO's global Accounting & Reporting Guidelines (A&RG), local GAAP, and the RARO group charter.
  • Serve as a functional expert and primary point of escalation for resolving complex accounting transactions and reporting questions.

Process Optimization & Analysis
  • Perform detailed analysis of general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and achieve productivity gains.
  • Champion the harmonization and standardization of accounting practices in alignment with group-wide solutions and best practices.

Leadership, Ethics, and Safety
  • Implement and ensure adherence to the RARO code of conduct, as well as all global and local standards, tools, and policies.
  • Uphold the company's core values and ethics across all activities and within the team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and build strong partnerships with other functions across the organization.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the general accounting team, providing guidance and supporting their professional growth.
  • Maintain accountability for the health, safety, and well-being of all employees and contractors within the team's scope.


Qualifications for the Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a strong plus.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with the month-end close process, financial consolidation, and preparing statutory financial statements.
  • Expert knowledge of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) and experience in their practical application.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in Local GAAP and IFRS/US GAAP.
  • Proven experience as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
