About the mission we offer you:
To ensure compliance with labor laws and industrial relations across all project sites in India, while safeguarding human rights and welfare of employees and subcontracted workforce. This role integrates statutory compliance, social dialogue, grievance management, and ethical labor practices in alignment with company standards and international norms (ILO/IFC).

About the Job:
Key Responsibilities

Industrial Relations & Compliance
  • Develop and implement a compliance framework for offices and project sites (Oil & Gas, Power, Roads, Highways, EPC projects).
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws: EPF, ESIC, Gratuity, Payment of Wages, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Maternity, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare, CLRA, BOCW, Factory Act.
  • Liaise with government agencies for licenses, approvals, and inspections; manage audits (Statutory, Payroll, Employment).
  • Oversee compliance vendors and maintain consolidated compliance reports.
  • Manage employment contracts for all categories (FTC, third-party, expats/inpats) ensuring legal compliance.
  • Prepare compliance dashboards and reports for leadership.

Human Rights & Workforce Welfare
  • Implement grievance mechanisms at project sites; ensure accessibility and timely resolution.
  • Facilitate social dialogue initiatives (e.g., Welfare Committees) between workers, management, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with ethical recruitment and labor standards; conduct risk-based assessments.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions to promote best practices in human rights.
  • Support audits related to lenders social requirements and internal sustainability standards.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives at sites.

Key Interactions
Internal: People & Culture, Sustainability Human Rights Team, Project Management, HSE Team.
External: Clients, Subcontractors, Compliance Vendors, Auditors, Government Authorities.

About You:
Qualifications & Experience
Education: MBA/PGDM or Bachelors in Law/HR.
Experience: 15-20 years in Industrial Relations, Compliance, and Human Rights (construction/EPC sector preferred).

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in grievance handling and social audits.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability; proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluency in English.

• Audit success: Positive outcomes in statutory and social audits; no major non-conformities.
• Subcontractor compliance: Percentage of subcontractors meeting ethical labor standards.
• Diversity initiatives: Number of diversity and inclusion programs conducted annually.
• Reporting accuracy: Timely and accurate submission of compliance and human rights reports.
