The shift pattern for this position is Monday-Thursday: 08:00-16:00, Friday 08;00-15:30 hrs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 x Fire Safety Officer within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual, with excellent interpersonal and technical skills, to work within the existing Fire Safety Department based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital & Gartnavel Hospital. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Estates and in support of the Nominated Officer Fire, the post holder will ensure that the Board meets its statutory requirements in relation to Fire Safety. The post holder will provide advice, direction, and bespoke training to NHSGGC on all matters relating to the management of Fire Safety.

The post holder will act as the specialist in the field of fire safety and will require the knowledge and experience necessary to understand what measures must be in place to ensure the organisation's compliance with statutory fire safety regulations. The post holder must apply this knowledge to the management of fire safety in a healthcare setting to plan and deliver fire safety activities that are appropriate, practicable and sufficient without unnecessarily impacting on the delivery of healthcare services.
