Job Description Summary
Location: Houston, TX | Hybrid Schedule: Remote Monday & Friday, In-office Tuesday-Thursday
At bp, Natural Gas Schedulers are essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of energy across our network. This role is part of the West Gas Operations Team within Trading & Shipping (T&S) Gas and Power Trading Americas (GPTA).

Job Description Summary
Location: Houston, TX | Hybrid Schedule: Remote Monday & Friday, In-office Tuesday-Thursday
At bp, Natural Gas Schedulers are essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of energy across our network. This role is part of the West Gas Operations Team within Trading & Shipping (T&S) Gas and Power Trading Americas (GPTA).

What You'll Do
- Submit daily and intraday natural gas nominations to natural gas pipelines, LDC's and storage facilities using appropriate systems
- Ensure accurate flow of equity and third-party production
- Monitor and manage pipeline imbalances, storage balances, and customer balances in line with contractual terms
- Communicate market intelligence to trading and marketing teams
- Capture nominations and actualized data in ETRM (Endur)
- Maintain tariff rate charges and reconcile pipeline invoices
- Build strong relationships with pipelines, customers, and internal teams
- Partner with finance, risk, and accounting for timely and accurate reporting
- Participate in rotational weekend and holiday coverage
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across scheduling teams
What You Bring
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
Experience & Skills:
- Knowledge of natural gas scheduling or similar commodity operations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred)
- Quick learner with strong attention to detail and commercial focus
- Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with EBBs and ETRM systems (Endur experience a plus)
- 3+ years in oil and gas industry; 1+ year in natural gas scheduling
