Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a building mechanical draftsperson to join our mechanical team as a 2D/3D Technician. In this role, you will work closely with the mechanical engineering team on projects within the Hydropower and Geotechnical sectors, with a particular focus on Hydroelectric projects.

Your involvement will span all phases of the project cycle: from initiation and planning through design and construction.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a wide range of challenging and technically diverse projects in a collaborative and innovative work environment

Your role

  • Participate in the design of mechanical systems required for hydroelectric projects, such as HVAC and piping systems;
  • Perform 3D modeling and prepare 2D drawings;
  • Ensure compliance with drafting and modeling standards;
  • Contribute ideas to improve work methods;
  • Provide technical support during construction as needed;
  • Perform any other related tasks as required.


About you

  • Technical diploma in mechanical engineering, building mechanics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in design and technical drafting in building mechanics.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Inventor, CATIA, Solidworks (asset).
  • Demonstrated rigor, precision, and autonomy in your tasks.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written) and knowledge of English (asset).
