JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Quality Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible in designing and developing scalable test automation frameworks, ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software solutions. This role involves close collaboration with development, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, implement shift-left testing practices, and drive continuous quality improvements across the SDLC. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, strong communication skills, deep knowledge of modern automation tools and frameworks. Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing test scripts using VSC, Selenium/Python, TestComplete or any other QA Automation tools.
• Implement automation for functional (API/DB/UI), integration, and regression test cases for complex engineering applications.
• Project work as required and assignments maybe very broad in nature, requiring originality, ingenuity and cross-functional coordination.
• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and ensure timely and successful delivery of software.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolutions.
• Perform code reviews, mentor and guide QA engineers on automation best practices.
• Create detailed test cases, perform manual testing and exploratory testing when required to complement the automated test suite.
• Operates with substantial latitude for action and reviews progress with management only as needed.
• Possesses and applies extensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in test automation to the completion of difficult assignments.
• Work efficiently, safely, and follow all NOV Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Occasional travel for project planning meetings, integration testing, commissioning/servicing of equipment or team alignment
• Maintain all company information as confidential. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
• Need 5 years of professional work experience in software test automation or development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, C#, Type Script or Java Script)
• Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation using tools like Selenium, Playwright or TestComplete.
• Experience with API testing and database testing utilizing tools such as Postman, SQL server or PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Devops)
• Have a good understanding of framework POM, TestNG, or any other framework.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Test Automation or AI or AWS cloud certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of automating AI test workflows, synthetic data generation and model monitoring is a plus.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry or with similar enterprise-level applications is a plus.
