Overview

AtkinsRéalis has an opportunity for an Apprentice to join the Rivers, Dams, Maritime & Coastal (RDMC) Design Team in Bangalore.

Your role

• Flood defence schemes.
• Hydraulic structures (e.g., dams, weirs, gates) .
• Ports and maritime infrastructure
• As a member of this team, you will be exposed to a broad range of engineering disciplines including river and coastal engineering, hydrology and hydraulics, and structural detailing.

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. M.Tech Structures preferred.
• Basic understanding of river and coastal engineering, including flood defence design and refurbishment of hydraulic structures.
• Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steelwork design principles.
• Awareness of health and safety considerations in design and construction.
• Understanding of UK health and safety legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations 2015) is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prepare basic sketches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good presentational skill.
• Managing own time.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving project needs.
• Ability to follow quality procedures and maintain high standards in work.
