This role is for a Advanced Lead Engineer Harwdare ownerhsip position focused on GE9X Fan & Booster structure hardware (composites and metallic) at GE Aerospace Bangalore Engineering Center. Responsibilities include designing and developing products, improving existing products in terms of cost, producibility, MRB disposition, and engine test corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, Assembly, Systems, Programs, Manufacturing, Quality, Repairs, PSE, and Materials

Job Description
Role Overview:
• Execute design and analysis activities for Fan & Booster section module for GE9X program for issue resolution, performance improvements, cost/weight reduction, Durability and producibility improvements
• Have high levels of interaction with and exposure to engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing & quality, and regularly exposed to commodity and experts
• Lead technical projects with moderate to high levels of complexity through collaboration
• Use engineering judgement and experience to challenge entrenched processes and methodology to recommend improvements.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute on technically complex projects to meet technical requirements and business goals with minimal technical oversight.
• Deliver on cost, performance & weight targets
• Collaborate with PSE for developing field plan
• Should network & establish strong connections with Commodity CTHs, Cross functional teams viz. Supply Chain, Repair, MAE, CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes
• Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with proactive communication internally and externally
• Provide technical guidance & mentor engineers in team
• Leverage digital tools & analyse the data insights to drive appropriate actions
Required Qualifications:
• PhD/MTech /MS/BTech/BE in Mechanical/Aerospace
• 8+ years of relevant experience on Mechanical design/hardware ownership/ Finite element analysis of structure mechanical parts preferably in aircraft engine/gas turbine domain.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical design fundamentals
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Established project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure Lifing methodologies, Manufacturing processes will be added advantage
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate to complex scope and impact.
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.
• Proven analytical and organizational ability
• MRB certified
