PRINCIPAL / LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - CONTRACT – SURREY

Our Client is seeking a Principal / Lead Electrical Engineer to work on energy transition and energy security projects for an initial 12 month contract role that has an immediate start.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience as a Lead Electrical Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrable experience of designing large industrial power systems is a prerequisite.
• Candidates must have experience of the job scope below.

JOB SCOPE:
The role is to develop the electrical power system designs required to support the process design.

Responsibilities include

• Power system designs for H2 / NH3 / LNG / Refining projects, sizing and selection of high voltage equipment, Large Frequency converters,  AC/ DC UPS systems, etc.
• Development of philosophies and specifications
• Input to estimating.
• Complete power system studies/calculations using ETAP / review of studies by

others.

DURATION:                  12 months initially

LOCATION:                  The role will be based on 5 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey. Hybrid working may be possible with one day remote.

RATE:                          £62.00 per hourLtd co rate

                                    If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
