Context & Environment

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with process safety standards

Monitor and analyze process safety performance indicators to identify areas for improvement

Manage MOC, PHA, and Facility Siting programs onsite

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation plans and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.

Provide guidance and support in the development of safety protocols

Facilitate training and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety and risk awareness among employees

Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to address emerging risks and challenges in the field of process safety and major risks

Activities

Develop and implement process safety protocols and procedures to mitigate major risks

Facilitate and assist the PSM Group Leader with training sessions and workshops on risk management and process safety practices

Prepare reports and documentation related to process safety assessments and risk management activities

Participate in audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations

Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Report on risk assessment findings and recommendations to management to inform decision-making and strategic planning

Candidate Profile

Requires a B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Other engineering degrees will be considered depending on the experience of the individual

3-5 years minimum experience in the chemical or refining industry (or equivalent experience)

Knowledgeable in all aspects of Process Safety Management with special emphasis on PHA study facilitation, LOPA, process safety information, auditing, incident investigation, MOC/PSSR, and facility siting
