AtkinsRealis are looking to recruit innovative architects and designers to be part of our Newcastle team based in Northern Regional Architectural practice.

We are a AJ100 top 8 Architecture and Master planning practice, an RIBA Registered Practice, employing over 450 Architectural staff across the UK working on project across the globe. Our team is a welcoming group of talented individuals with shared passion for design and a committed to the environment through a sustainable approach to architecture and engineering. Our staff are the heart of our success and supporting training and mentoring our designers ensure AtkinsRealis is at the forefront of innovation. Our UK and Global projects and designs influence will allow you to excel with likeminded individuals.

Our primary focus is to ensure our architects are challenged towards professional growth within a new team, exposing Architects to the multi-disciple environment and client facing opportunities.

Your role

• RIBA Part 3 qualification and ARB registration.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations.
• Experience working directly with clients, contractors and multi-disciplinary design teams across different sectors, including Healthcare and Education a bonus.
• Ability to lead the design process from concept to detailed design, including identifying and developing key technical details.
• Working knowledge of UK building systems, regulatory compliance, construction methods and detail design.
• Consistent contribution to the successful delivery of projects of varying scale and complexity (small, medium and large).
• Experience working with external stakeholders and client/contractor teams.
• Responsibility for specific roles, work packages or areas within a project, with an understanding of project budgets and a willingness to develop knowledge of project finances.
• Support, mentor and coach Part 1 and Part 2 staff, including reviewing work to drive quality and design standards.
• Work alongside the Studio Lead and leadership team to support the development, profile and growth of the Studio in the region.
• Contribute to day to day studio management and help nurture the design culture within AtkinsRéalis.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (essential), with desirable experience in Navisworks, BIM model federation, model checking, clash/interface management and on-site job running.

• Support the studio lead and the team in developing and shaping the team culture.
• Comfortable working within large national multi-disciplinary teams as well as with the Newcastle based Studio team.
• Positive, flexible and proactive "can do" attitude.
• Self-motivated, committed and able to think clearly whilst also being a strong team player.

Security clearance
