Your role

  • RIBA Part 3 qualification and ARB registration.
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations.
  • Experience working across different sectors, including healthcare and education, directly with clients and contractors and coordinating multi disciplinary design teams.
  • Ability to understand and deliver the design process from concept through to detailed design and completion.
  • Capability to identify, develop and resolve key technical details.
  • Working knowledge of UK building systems, compliance requirements, construction types and building regulations.
  • Consistent contribution to the delivery of projects of varying scale and complexity (small, medium and large).
  • Experience working with external stakeholders, client teams and contractor teams.
  • Responsibility for defined roles, work packages or areas within a project, with awareness of project budgets.
  • Supporting and mentoring Part 1 and Part 2 colleagues, including coaching on project tasks and reviewing work to drive design quality.
  • Work alongside senior colleagues, the Studio Lead and leadership team to support the development, profile and growth of the Studio in the region.
  • Contribute to day to day studio management and help nurture the design culture at AtkinsRéalis.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (essential), with desirable experience, BIM model federation, model checking, clash/interface management

  • Highly organised, efficient and accurate, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with agility and perform effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within large national multi disciplinary teams and the Newcastle Studio.
  • Self motivated, flexible and reliable, with a positive "can do" attitude.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Effective time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Desire to grow and explore opportunities with the wider AtkinsRealis team

Security clearance
