The Senior Reporting Analyst - Project Controls is a key contributor to the successful delivery of major projects by leading the development, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive project performance reporting. This role requires advanced expertise in cost control, scheduling, risk management, and change management, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting aligned with internal standards and client contractual requirements.
You will leverage your extensive experience in engineering, project management, or contractor environments to design and implement reporting frameworks that support strategic decision-making and project governance.

The Senior Reporting Analyst - Project Controls is a key contributor to the successful delivery of major projects by leading the development, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive project performance reporting. This role requires advanced expertise in cost control, scheduling, risk management, and change management, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting aligned with internal standards and client contractual requirements.
You will leverage your extensive experience in engineering, project management, or contractor environments to design and implement reporting frameworks that support strategic decision-making and project governance.
Your role
- Lead the preparation and delivery of project performance reports across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, ensuring compliance with internal and client standards.
- Develop and standardize reporting processes and templates within Project Controls to drive consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Collaborate with cost controllers, planners, and risk managers to integrate cost, schedule, risk, and change data into cohesive reporting packages.
- Analyze project performance trends and variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations to project leadership.
- Ensure accurate cost and schedule forecasting, including monitoring project baselines and change impacts.
- Support client and alliance reporting requirements, including contractual deliverables and governance presentations.
- Perform advanced data analysis and visualization to enhance reporting clarity and decision-making.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices in project reporting and controls.
- Lead special assignments and ad hoc reporting initiatives as required by senior management.
About you
- Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in project controls reporting, with demonstrated expertise in cost, schedule, risk, and change management.
- Industry Background: Proven experience creating and delivering project reporting in engineering, project management, or contractor environments (nuclear or large infrastructure projects preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in project controls tools such as Oracle, EcoSys, Primavera P6, and MS Excel.
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
