Years of Experience
- Manage materials and equipment fulfilment processes for drilling operations, starting with initial budget planning, and progressing through the determination of material and equipment requirements to the placement of Purchase Orders.
- Support the tendering process for drilling equipment and materials. Assist in administering contracts while maintaining proper working relationships with vendors.
- Liaise with Purchasing, Logistics and third-party vendors for timely procurement, transportation, delivery and acceptance of equipment and materials for drilling operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Review equipment and material requirements as laid out in well program. Participate in cost estimations for AFE purposes.
- Prepare technical scope of work for drilling equipment, rig equipment and spare parts, including well tubulars and accessories, wellhead equipment, drill bits and downhole tools.
- Provide input on supply chain management and logistical issues to be considered in ensuring timely delivery of equipment, such as significant lead times, custom fabrication requirements, transportation and logistics issues or other special considerations.
- Plan and carry out vendor prequalification's, vendor visits, vendor approval processes and vendor evaluations.
- Liaise with Contracts department regarding technical and commercial evaluations of bids, and with Purchasing department for timely placement of contracts and Purchase Orders.
- Manage contracts and working relationships with vendors. Attend regular Contracts Review meetings for monitoring progress on various contracts and purchases.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling operations, with a detailed knowledge of surface and subsurface equipment and material specifications and requirements.
