As an Electrical Engineer on our Dinorwig Refurbishment Project, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring clean, reliable energy for generations to come.

What you will do
  • Review and validate electrical design documentation from contractors and existing systems
  • Formulate responses to technical queries and requests for information
  • Collaborate with Business as Usual (BAU) engineers and operations teams to update design information
  • Contribute to the inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation
  • Work within management procedures and corporate IT systems to deliver project objectives


What you will bring to the role
  • Degree holder in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in power generation or heavy industrial processes
  • Proficient in electrical inspection, testing, and commissioning (FAT & SAT)
  • Strong knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, distribution systems, and relevant IEC standards
  • Experienced with LV/MV motors, controls, and starting circuits
  • Familiar with DC systems, electrical protection systems, and transformers
  • Good working knowledge of wiring regulations (BS7671)
  • Skilled in using basic IT systems (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Dinorwig Power Station, North Wales (on-site position)
