As a Strategy Advisor in bp's Group Strategy team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of bp's corporate and business strategies and policies. This global position offers the opportunity to work across bp's core functions, driving strategic insights and innovation that influence the future of energy.

In this role You will:

  • Strategy Development & Innovation: Apply hypothesis-led approaches to solve complex business challenges, develop strategic plans, and create execution roadmaps for bp's businesses.
  • Project Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations of strategy and policy projects, including planning, tracking performance, and driving improvements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary contact for stakeholders throughout project lifecycles, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
  • Strategy Communication: Prepare and present materials that clearly articulate strategies and solutions to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Strategic Origination: Monitor industry trends and market movements to identify new strategic opportunities aligned with bp's direction.
  • Development & Coaching: Mentor junior colleagues and ensure quality control of deliverables.
  • Thought Leadership: Share insights and contribute to bp's intellectual capital through workshops and team interactions.
  • Compliance & Leadership: Align with bp's Code of Conduct and demonstrate leadership through bp's values.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Experience:
  • Multiple years in the energy sector or top-tier professional services, with cross-industry expertise.
  • Proven track record in managing projects and teams, from initiation to delivery.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, economics, engineering, science
  • Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent relationship management.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Robust financial skill and ability to develop commercial models.
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level or equivalent).
  • Desirable:
  • Consulting experience in business strategy within a relevant sector.
  • Broad understanding of industry trends and challenges.
